Field visit to Tembisa or Hammanskraal
The second part of the programme included a field visit to one of two South African townships in the Gauteng Province – Tembisa and Hammanskraal. Delegates who participated had the opportunity to experience the vibrancy of informal business activity and learn more about the community digitalisation project that was being piloted in these townships.
